Coming along

Here's a photo update of the pretty aqua blanket. It's oh so sunny!

As I mentioned in my first post, This one is going to be a coverlet for a double sized bed, so I have a little ways to go, but I just love these colors together. Again, I am using: Lion Brand Gold Fish and Sweet Pea, Red Heart's Cornmeal and a discontinued Robin's Egg, as well as Bernat Aqua. I'm using the join-as-you-go method to put them all together.

  1. It looks wonderful so far :-) So bright and cheery.

  2. Hi Laura,
I've never tried the join as you go method. Is there more than one way to do it?
    Happy weekend!

    1. Hi Maureen, There are several different ways you can do it. The one in my "tutorials" section above is how I do it. There's a newer (2012) book out there with good instruction. It's another Edie Eckman book called Connect the Shapes Crochet Motifs. Lots of ideas and of course she always uses great colors... Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. Gorgeous, Laura! I love your color choices. I'm currently finishing up a daisy afghan using your directions. It's for my daughter's baby, but I love it so much I might have to make one for myself when I'm done! I'll let you know when I post it on my blog. Thank you for taking time to share your work!

    1. Thanks for your note Mary. I would love to see it when you are done. Keep me posted and happy hooking! Have a great weekend.

  4. Yes, it is going to be a beautiful blanket. The colors are lovely :-)

  5. Absolutely Beautiful. I have just found your blog and started the daisy blanket. How do you calculate your wool amounts. I've ran out of the white already. Thank You for sharing your tips and Ideas. Hugs Rita xxx.

Deus te dá a lã e a agulha

  9. Thank you for sharing all your wonderful patterns. I just love that shasta daisy blanket and the different colour schemes you have used!
