Another daisy blanket inspiration

A very nice customer named Leslie recently contacted me about creating a new daisy blanket in aqua/turquoise. She sent a photo of some lovely bedding, and was hoping to use that as a reference.

I sent over two samples (the photos are a bit dark). One using a light aqua and dark aqua:

And one with a green sc row as an accent:

She chose the second option. I'm excited to see how it turns out when they are all together. Other good news: the weekend is almost here! Have a wonderful day.

UPDATE: I have one more option. There seems to be so much blue, I thought I would try an option with a light blue and the green/aqua...

I think I like this one best with her bedding. We'll see what Leslie thinks!

    1. Thank you Luna (your posts always make me smile). She chose the second one, although I might have to work up one more sample, just to see something different...I'm a bit of a perfectionist! Have a wonderful night!

  3. Wow! Just wow! I only learned to crochet this week and can only do simple squares, not sure if it's called single crochet or double crochet because our terms in Australia are different, but I do know I HAVE to teach myself how to do these daisies and then hopefully a blanket. I'm not a big fan of crochet stuff but your things make me love everything you do! Thanks so much for sharing.

  4. A couple of comments you have mentioned your hook size, for us learners/overseas ppl, could you please tell us how many millimeters that is?

    1. Hi GadgetGirl, Thanks for you message! Yes, the terms are different in U.S. and English/the rest of the world (not sure why it has to be so difficult!) The hook size I used is "I" or 5.5 mm. I have no problem mixing my yarn brands. It's all about color for me. I do have my favorites, as I have mentioned elsewhere in my blog. Keep at it - it can be frustrating at first, but it is quite addictive and can be very relaxing once you get the hang of it. Try to focus on tension. Good luck!
