Instagram steps up.
Kudos to Instagram for removing my photo from the perpetrator's page! Sadly, I will have to start watermarking photos...
I have been away for quite awhile! We are finally settling in after our move to the country (more of a forest really), and the kids are in school again. I will try to get back into the swing of posting on this blog.
I also have ulterior motives to start posting again as a fellow Etsian has informed me of a person across the pond who is selling my free daisy pattern and blanket design. I have informed this person that it is a copyrighted pattern as well as the fact that it is just rude and insulting to those of us who share our creativity. They have also copied and are using a photo from my blog. (Again, please do not pull my images from this site! They are my own intellectual property.) Thank you to all who have asked permission to link to this site, and to those who have noted credit to tillie tulip where credit is due.
I contacted the owner at spitspotloves.com and politely asked them to take down the pattern. I have not received a response. They are referring to it as the "lazy daisy". The only thing lazy about it is the person who has stolen the free pattern and is selling it for profit. Hopefully, they will find a conscience, do what is right, and stop selling others' designs. I left word on their Instagram feed (https://instagram.com/_spitspotloves/) as well, but have since been blocked. People never cease to amaze me.
Again, this pattern is FREE. Please help keep it that way.:

Simple Blue Boy Set
I'm back and trying to get into the swing of blogland again. I just finished up a blanket, hat, booty set for a lovely customer in New York. She asked me to put together a simple blue and white set for a friend who just had a baby boy. It's nice to do simple and sweet sometimes. I used Caron One Pound white and light blue -- a simple 4 round granny square in light blue with a join-as-you-go edge in white. The booties are done using my favorite booty pattern over at Lion Brand. Click here for the pattern.
I also included a plain blue fleece blankie that I added a reverse single crochet (or crab stitch) edge. I think it's a nice little extra to have handy. You can never have too many little blankets with a new baby!

Coming along
Here's a photo update of the pretty aqua blanket. It's oh so sunny!
As I mentioned in my first post, This one is going to be a coverlet for a double sized bed, so I have a little ways to go, but I just love these colors together. Again, I am using: Lion Brand Gold Fish and Sweet Pea, Red Heart's Cornmeal and a discontinued Robin's Egg, as well as Bernat Aqua. I'm using the join-as-you-go method to put them all together.

Little feathered friend
I've been admiring these little birds outside my window for awhile now. Today was the day to finally figure out what they are, so my husband and I got out the bird books, and still couldn't find the little bugger. This is where the internet is such an asset. I typed in something along the lines of "sparrow-like bird, white breasted" and the first link I clicked on gave us the answer: Dark Eyed Junco.
He's a sweet little guy. He mainly lives in Canada, but comes down south in the winter. My guess is for our balmy weather (we were in the teens this past week).
Anyway, here he is sitting in our peach tree.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend, and staying warm!

Back on my aqua kick.
I finished the first granny rectangle, a couple of weeks ago, but haven't had the chance to post it to tillie tulip for sale. I was dragging my feet a bit, because I wanted to include a onesie with a little matching heart for the upcoming Valentine's Day. Why do hearts make things so cute?
I used Creme de la Creme cotton yarn in aqua jade for the center, and single crocheted the edge in aqua. You can find my heart pattern here.
